Hyderabad: South Central Railway has been consistently working to enhance passenger amenities and to ensure efficient traffic management across its network. To decongest the existing coaching terminals in the twin city areas of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda and Lingampalli, Charlapalli Railway Station has now been developed as a modern coaching terminal and serving the eastern corridor of Hyderabad.
To enhance passenger satisfaction at newly developed Charlapalli Railway Terminal, South Central Railway is implementing an Access Control System at the South Terminal New Building (Platform No. 9 side) with effect from 00:00 hrs on 15.06.2026 to regulate and facilitate pick-up and drop-off activities at the terminal premises.

The new South Terminal building (Platform No. 9 side) of Charlapalli Railway Station features spacious waiting halls, modernized platforms, lifts, escalators, premium modular toilets, enhanced signage systems, and improved passenger information facilities. Spread over 6,622.09 sq. mts of dedicated parking space, for parking the two, three and four wheeler vehicles of Rail Users with nominal parking charges, chargeable on hourly basis.

In order to avoid inconvenience to the Rail Users, to streamline entry/exit of vehicular traffic and to curb unauthorized parking in circulating area, SCR is implementing an Access Control System at the South Side of Charlapalli Railway Station with effect from 00:00 hrs on 15.06.2026.
This system is designed to facilitate seamless pick-up and drop-off operations with provision of designated lanes for 2, 3, and 4-wheelers. Along with ensuring unobstructed pedestrian movement in front of the station building, the said system minimizes congestion and enables easy access to autos, taxis, and other transport. This system will be implementing with effect from 00:00 hrs on 15.06.2026.
Salient Features:
• Free exit within 20 minutes for pick-up/drop-off.
• Digital ticketing for all vehicles entering the premises.
• Digital receipts with entry/exit timings and charges.
• Overstay charges applicable only beyond free time limits.
• Vehicles moving to designated parking areas will not be charged.

The introduction of the Access Control System at Charlapalli Railway Station will bring multiple benefits to passengers and visitors.
