• TELANGANA EDUCATION DAY CELEBRATED AT BRAOU
Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) today celebrated Telangana Education Day as a part of Telangana Decennial Celebrations at its Campus on Tuesday 20, 2023. Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman, State Council of Higher Education, Telangana State attended as chief guest for the program. He stated that Telangana has recorded a higher percentage of improvement than the national average in the spread of higher education.
He said that the government will move ahead by solving each problem in the order of priority and soon Hon’ble Chief Minister KCR will take steps to solve the problems of the universities. It has been revealed that the government has already done a full study and there are some administrative hurdles which will be resolved soon. It is the credit of the government that after the formation of Telangana state, 30 SC Degree College girls’ hostels, 22 tribal girls’ hostels and 33 BC girls’ hostels have been established so that the students who have studied there are now able to get admissions in national and international universities.
He also explained that while the average of Gross Enrolment Ration (GER) in higher education at the national level is 27.3 percent, it is much higher than the national average of 39.1 percent in Telangana, which is an evidence of the Telangana government’s efforts to spread higher education. It has been revealed that bucket system and cluster system are attracting all educational institutions at the national level. It has been explained that the students are being made aware of the professional skill training courses at the degree level.
The Distinguished Guest Prof. K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University said that he has worked as an educationist to make people conscious in the Telangana movement and he is very happy to be a participant in the development of Telangana after the birth of a separate Telangana. He opined that it is a great opportunity to discuss the educational development of Telangana as part of the Telangana Decennial celebrations. He said that he is very happy to provide higher education to the poor students in the remote areas of Telangana at very low fees through this prestigious university.
Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, Director Academic, BRAOU presided over the program. Prof. chakrapani said that the role of universities in the Telangana movement is very great and he praised the efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister KCR for the spread of higher education after the achievement of a separate state.
Dr.A.V.R.N.Reddy, Registrar said that with the cooperation of the Telangana government, they are working very hard for the spread of higher education in Telangana. It is said that although the number of staff is decreasing, quality services are being provided to the students with the available staff.
In this program, the directors of various departments reported the development programs achieved in their respective departments after the achievement of Telangana special state. Prof. E.Sudha Rani, Director, Prof. G. Ram Reddy Center for Research and Development said that research has been increased under her department and quality research has become available.
Dr. LVK Reddy, Director Learner Support Services said that we are providing online services to students in remote areas of the state. He stated that the CBCS system is being implemented from the academic year 2017-18. He said that the number of female students and the number of SC, ST, BC students is increasing from time to time, thus making higher education accessible to the poor students and the backward students.
Prof. Vaddanam Srinivas, Director, EMR&RC, said that along with books, lessons are made available to students by video and audio recording. The songs sung by teachers are being made available to students through YouTube, Doordarshan, T-SAT and All India Radio. Many training programs have been video recorded and converted into digital format. Web radio is available.
Prof. I. Anand Pawar, Director CSTD, said that under the auspices of his department, the faculty, councilors and administrative staff of the university are regularly organized training classes to improve the skills of the staff. He explained that training is being given to perform the duties better using the available technology.
Prof. Gunti Ravinder, Director, Materials & Publications, said that the books related to UG, PG and other diploma courses are being delivered to the students on time. He explained that keeping in mind the Telangana government’s ambitious process of filling government job vacancies, special books have been made available at a low price to be useful for competitive exams, and this has especially impressed the students.
Prof. P. Madhusudhana Reddy, Director CIQA, said that SSR has already been approved and he will go for NAC recognition soon. It has been revealed that a team of NAC members will come soon. All Directors, Deans, Heads of Branches, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members and representatives of University Service Associations attended the Telangana State Formation Day Celebrations.

హైదరాబాద్: ఉన్నత విద్యా వ్యాప్తిలో తెలంగాణా జాతీయ సగటు కంటే ఎక్కువ శాతం మెరుగును నమోదు చేసిందని తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఉన్నత విద్యామండలి చైర్మన్ ప్రొ. ఆర్. లింబాద్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. తెలంగాణా దశాబ్ధి ఉత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా విద్యా దినోత్సవ వేడుకలు మంగళ వారం డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రొ.ఆర్. లింబాద్రి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు.
ప్రొ. లింబాద్రి మాట్లాడుతూ ప్రాధాన్యత క్రమంలో ఒక్కొక్క సమస్యను పరిష్కరిస్తూ ప్రభుత్వం ముందుకు పోతుందని త్వరలోనే విశ్వవిధ్యాలయాల సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి గౌరవ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేసీఆర్ గారు పూనుకోనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ప్రభుత్వం ఇప్పటికే పూర్తి స్థాయిలో అధ్యయనం చేసిందని కొన్ని పాలనా పరమైన అడ్డంకులు ఉన్నాయని త్వరలో న్ని పరిష్కారం కానున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఆవిర్భావం తర్వాత 30 ఎస్సే భాలికల హాస్టల్ లను , 22 గిరిజన భాలికల్ హాస్టల్ లను , ౩౩ బీసీ భాలికల హాస్టల్ లను ఏర్పాటు చేసిందని తద్వారా అందులో చదువుకున్న విద్యార్ధులు ఈ రోజు జాతీయ , అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయి విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో అడ్మిషన్ లు పొంధగలుగుతున్నారని ఇది ప్రభుత్వ ఘనత గా పేర్కొన్నారు.
జాతీయ స్థాయిలో సగటు ఉన్నత విద్యను అభ్యసించే వారి సంఖ్య (GER) 27.3 శాతం ఉండగా అది తెలంగాణాలో జాతీయ సగటు కంటే చాల ఎక్కువ గా 39.1 శాతంగా ఉందని ఇది ఉన్నత విద్యా వ్యాప్తికి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న కృషికి నిదర్శనంగా వివరించారు.
ఉన్నత విద్యా మండలి ఆధ్వర్యంలో అనేక సంస్కరణలు తెచ్చామని అందులో భాగంగానే దోస్త్ (DOST), బకెట్ సిస్టం, క్లస్టర్ సిస్టం లని ఇవి జాతీయ స్థాయిలో అన్ని విద్యా సంస్థలను ఆకట్టుకుంటున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. డిగ్రీ స్థాయిలోనే విద్యార్ధులకు వృత్తి నైపుణ్య శిక్షణా కోర్సులపైన అవగాహన కల్పిస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో విశిష్ట అతిథిగా హజరైన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ఆచార్య. కె. సీతారామారావు మాట్లాడుతూ తెలంగాణా ఉద్యమంలో ప్రజలను చైత్యన్య వంతులను చేయడానికి ఒక విద్యావేత్తగా పనిచేశామని ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ అవతరణ తర్వాత తెలంగాణ అభివృద్ధిలో భాగస్వాములు కావడం చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు. తెలంగాణ దశాబ్ధి ఉత్సవాల్లో భాగంగా తెలంగాణ విద్యాభివృద్ధి గురించి చర్చించుకోవడం ఒక గొప్ప అవకాశంగా అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. తెలంగాణ మారూమూల ప్రాంతాల్లోని పేద విద్యార్ధులకు కూడా అతి తక్కువ ఫీజుతో తమ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ద్వార ఉన్నత విద్యను అందించడం చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉందన్నారు.
కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకాడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల పాత్ర చాల గొప్పదని ప్రత్యేక రాష్ట్ర సాధన తర్వాత ఉన్నత విద్యా వ్యాప్తికి గౌరవ ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేసీఆర్ చేస్తున్న కృషిని ఆయన కొనియాడారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్, డా.ఎ.వి.ఆర్.ఎన్.రెడ్డి, మాట్లాడుతూ తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వ సహకారంతో తెలంగాణలో ఉన్నత విద్యావ్యాప్తికి విశేషంగా కృషి చేస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు. సిబ్బంది సంఖ్య తగ్గిపోతున్నా, అందుబాటులో ఉన్న సిబ్బందితోనే విద్యార్ధులకు నాణ్యమైన సేవలు అందిస్తున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి అందాల్సిన ఆర్ధిక సహకారం పూర్తి స్థాయిలో అందేలా చూడాలని ప్రొ.లింబాద్రి ని కోరారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పలు విభాగాల డైరెక్టర్లు తమ తమ విభాగాల్లో తెలంగాణా ప్రత్యేక రాష్ట్ర సాధన తర్వాత సాధించిన అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను నివేదించారు. ప్రొ. జి. రామ్ రెడ్డి సెంటర్ ఫర్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్, డైరెక్టర్ ప్రో. సుధారాణి మాట్లాడుతూ తమ విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో పరిశోధనలను పెంచామని నాణ్యమైన పరిశోధనలు అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చాయని వివరించారు.
విద్యార్ధి సేవల విభాగం డైరెక్టర్ డా.ఎల్వీకే రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ రాష్ట్రంలోని మారుమూల ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న విద్యార్ధికి కూడా ఆన్లైన్ విధానంలో సేవలు అందిస్తున్నామని పేర్కొన్నారు. 2017-18 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి సీబీసీఎస్ విధానాన్ని అమలు పరుస్తున్నామని పేర్కొన్నారు. మహిళా విద్యార్ధుల సంఖ్య, ఎస్సే ఎస్టీ బీసీ విద్యార్ధుల సంఖ్య ఎప్పటికప్పుడు పెరుగుతోందని తద్వారా వెనకబడిన విద్యార్ధులకు పేద విద్యార్ధులకు ఉన్నత విద్యను అందుబాటులో తెచ్చామన్నారు.
ఈ.ఎం.ఆర్.ఆర్.సి. డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. వడ్డాణం శ్రీనివాస్ మాట్లాడుతూ విద్యార్ధులకు పుస్తకాలతో పాటు లెసన్స్ ను వీడియో, ఆడియో రికార్డింగ్ చేసి విద్యార్ధులకు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు అందుబాటులో ఉంచుతున్నామన్నారు . యుట్యూబ్, దూరదర్శన్, టీసాట్, అల్ ఇండియా రేడియో ద్వారా అధ్యాపకులు చెప్పే పాటాలను విద్యార్ధులకు అందుబాటులో ఉంచుతున్నమన్నారు. పలు శిక్షణా కార్యక్రమాలను వీడియో రికార్డు చేసి డిజిటల్ గా మార్చామన్నారు. వెబ్ రేడియో అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చిందన్నారు.
సీఎస్టేడీ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ.ఆనంద్ పవార్ మాట్లాడుతూ తమ విభాగం ఆధ్వర్యంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అధ్యాపకులకు, కౌన్సిలర్ లు, పాలనా సిబ్బందికి ఎప్పటికప్పుడు శిక్షణా తరగతులు నిర్వహిస్తూ సిబ్బంది నైపుణ్యాలను మెరుగు పరుస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు. అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చిన సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని ఉపయోగిస్తూ మరింత మెరుగ్గా విధులు నిర్వర్తించేలా శిక్షణను ఇస్తున్నట్లు ఆయన వివరించారు.
మెటీరియల్స్ & పబ్లికేషన్స్ డైరెక్టర్, ప్రొ.గుంటి రవీందర్ మాట్లాడుతూ యు. జీ., పీజీ , ఇతర డిప్లొమా కోర్సులకు సంబంధించిన పుస్తకాలను విద్యార్ధులకు సకాలంలో చేరవేస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా చేపట్టిన ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగ ఖాళీల భర్తీ ప్రక్రియను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని పోటీ పరీక్షలకు ఉపయోగపడేలా ప్రత్యేక పుస్తకాలను తక్కువ ధరకే అందుబాటులోకి తెచ్చామని ఇది విశేషంగా విద్యార్ధులను ఆకట్టుకుందని వివరించారు.
సికా డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. పి. మధుసూధన రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ త్వరలో న్యాక్ గుర్తింపునకు వెళ్లనున్నట్లు ఇప్పటికే ఎస్.ఎస్.ఆర్. ఆమోదం పొందినట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. త్వరలో న్యాక్ సభ్యల బృందం రానున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. అన్ని విభాగాలు సమన్వయంతో పనిచేస్తూ న్యాక్ గుర్తింపు కోసం శ్రమిస్తున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. కార్యక్రమంలో అన్ని విభాగాల డైరెక్టర్స్, అధిపతులు, డీన్స్, బోధన మరియు భోదనేతర సిబ్బంది, ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
