Minister Uttam directs officials to work in in coordination to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply
Uttam,Thummala, chief secretary addresses video-conference with District Collectors on Rabi crop
Hyderabad : Safeguarding standing crops is of utmost priority for the state government, said Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy. He emphasised that all concerned departments must work in close coordination to ensure that farmers do not suffer losses due to external factors such as water scarcity or power supply disruptions.
Minister Uttam directed officials to be proactive and address any challenges faced by farmers during the crucial final phase of the rabi crop season. He pointed out that misinformation was being spread regarding irrigation water availability and called upon officials to counter such false propaganda by personally visiting the affected areas and explaining the real situation to the public.
On Monday evening, Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Agriculture Secretary Raghunandan Rao, and TSSPDCL CMD Musharraf, held a video conference with District Collectors, Superintendents of Police (SPs), agriculture officials, and electricity department officers from across the state.
During the meeting, the minister emphasised that the Rabi crops would be ready for harvest within the next 15 days. He directed district officials to work in close coordination, conduct regular field visits, and provide necessary support to farmers. Given the importance of irrigation water in the final stage, he instructed the irrigation department to ensure that water supply reaches the last possible stretch of agricultural lands.
On the power supply situation, Uttam Kumar Reddy reassured that there had been no disruptions so far. However, he urged officials to maintain constant coordination with the electricity department to ensure uninterrupted supply, particularly for irrigation needs.
Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao dismissed rumours about large-scale crop damage, stating that certain groups were politically exploiting the situation by spreading misinformation. He clarified that natural occurrences such as borewells drying up or motor failures do not indicate systemic failure and should not be misinterpreted. He urged officials to be vigilant, immediately intervene in affected areas, and implement necessary measures to prevent further inconvenience to farmers.
Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari stated that the government was actively monitoring the rabi crop situation and keeping officials on high alert through continuous video conferences. She informed that, as part of the latest measures, 1.5 TMC of water had been released from Annapurna Sagar to Ranganayaka Sagar to address irrigation needs. Additionally, repairs to pump houses were being carried out in coordination with the irrigation department to enhance efficiency.
Uttam Kumar Reddy reiterated the commitment of Congress Government to ensuring that farmers do not face difficulties during this critical harvest period and assured that all necessary steps were being taken to provide seamless irrigation and power supply support.

సోమవారం సాయంత్రం డాక్టర్ బి.ఆర్.అంబెడ్కర్ సచివాలయం నుండి సహచర మంత్రి తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వరరావు, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతికుమారి,రాష్ట్ర వ్యవసాయ శాఖా కార్యదర్శి రఘునందన్ రావు టి.ఎస్.ఎస్.పి.డి.సి.ఎల్ సి.యం.డి ముషారఫ్ తదితరులతో కలసి రాష్ట్రంలోని జిల్లాల కలెక్టర్లు,ఎస్.పి లు,వ్యవసాయ శాఖాధికారులు ,విద్యుత్ శాఖాధికారులతో వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ రబీ సీజన్ పంట మరో 15 రోజుల్లో చేతికి రానున్నందున ఆయా జిల్లాల అధికారులు సమన్వయంతో కలసి క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో పర్యటిస్తూ రైతాంగానికి తోడ్పాటు నందించాలని ఆయన సూచించారు. యాసంగి పంటకు సాగు నీరు చివరికంటూ అందించేందుకు నీటిపారుదల శాఖాధికారులు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
విద్యుత్ సరఫరాలో ఇప్పటి వరకు ఎటువంటి అవాంతారాలు లేవని ఆయన ప్రకటించారు.కాలువల నీటి సరఫరా అంశంలో ఎప్పటికప్పుడు విద్యుత్ శాఖాధికారుల సహా కారాన్ని తీసుకోవాలన్నారు. వ్యవసాయ శాఖామంత్రి తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వరరావు మాట్లాడుతూ క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో నిజ నిజాలు తెలుసుకోకుండా పంట నష్టం గురించి జరుగుతున్న ప్రచారం సత్య దూరమన్నారు. బోర్లు ఎండి పోవడమో,మోటార్లు కాలి పోవడం వంటి పరిణామాలతో పంట నష్టం జరుగుతుందంటూ జరుగుతున్న అసత్య ప్రచారాన్ని రాజకీయంగా వినియోగించుకునేందుకు కొన్ని శక్తులు రంగంలోకి దిగాయన్నారు.
ఇటువంటి విషయంలో అధికారులు తక్షణమే రంగంలోకి దిగి నివారణ చర్యలు చేపట్టాలన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతికుమారి మాట్లాడుతూ ప్రభుత్వ ఆదేశానుసారం రబీ పంట విషయంలో ప్రభుత్వ యంత్రాంగాన్నిఎప్పటికప్పుడు అప్రమత్తం చేస్తూనే వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ల ద్వారా సమగ్ర సమాచారం తెప్పిస్తున్నామన్నారు. అందులో భాగంగానే నీటిపారుదల శాఖతో సమన్వయం చేసుకుని అన్నపూర్ణ సాగర్ నుండి రంగనాయక సాగర్ కు 1.5 టి.యం.సి నీటిని విడుదల చేయడంతో పాటు పంప్ హౌజ్ ల మరమ్మతులు చేపట్టినట్లు ఆమె వివరించారు.
