Hyderabad : Dr. R. Rajeshwari, Principal, Kasturba Gandhi Degree and PG Women’s College, said that the Kargil War is the most memorable war in the history of India. She spoke as the chief guest at a rally organized on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas on Friday with the students of NSS Unit 1 (T) Battalion at Kasturiba Gandhi Degree and PG women’s College, Maredpally, Secunderabad under the auspices of Telangana Citizens Council a social Service Organization State Department.
He called upon every citizen of India to recognize the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. NCC Officer Major Dr. D. Jaya Sudha said that it is the duty of all of us to celebrate Kargil Vijay Divas on July 26 to mark the victory of Indian Army over Pakistan Army, about 500 Indian soldiers were martyred and Kargil War Memorial was established in Dras town near Ladakh in memory of the civilians who were executed in Kargil War.
Army Subedar MK Singh In his speech said that after India took control of all the areas occupied by Pakistan, the war ended on 26th July 1999, India hoisted the tricolor flag with great solemnity and therefore all the people of our country will celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July.

He explained that the people of the country will be safe because of the soldiers and the services of the Indian soldiers cannot be forgotten.
