Full fill promise of Rs 2500 to every women – BRS MLC Kavitha demands Telangana govt
Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruti president and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha expressed her anger at the Revanth Reddy government for not implementing the promises made to women by the Congress party. She warned that the Congress party will face strong opposition if it tries to deceive the women.
She demanded the government to make an announcement on providing Rs 2500 per month by the 8th of this month on the occasion of International Women’s Day. She suggested the government name the airport to be developed in Warangal after Rani Rudramadevi.
On Monday, MLC Kavitha launched a postcard movement to pressure the government to implement the promises made to women. She sent 10,000 postcards to the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Speaking to reporters, MLC Kavitha said that if an announcement is not made by March 8 on the implementation of the guarantees, 10,000 women will go to 10,000 villages and collect lakhs of postcards from women to send them to Sonia Gandhi. She said: “The Congress party secured women votes in the name of Sonia Gandhi. We will send lakhs of postcards to Sonia Gandhi.” She alleged that CM Revanth Reddy is not thinking humanely about women. There will be serious consequences if women are deceived, she warned.

MLC Kavitha expressed concern over the lack of security for women in the state. Recalling that DGP has revealed that the crime rate against women in the state has increased by 20 percent, she demanded the government to review and make an announcement on the protection of women. Also, she proposed that women workers are not being specifically identified and provided with necessary facilities. She demanded the government for a special action plan for women workers.
