Hyderabad : Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy, Registrar, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University today hoisted the tri-colour National Flag on the occasion of Telangana Prajapalana Dinotsavam at the campus.
Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy said that even after the country gained independence, the people of Hyderabad State did not get freedom, but as a result of the struggles of the people here at that time, freedom was secured for the people of Hyderabad State. He also explained the developments, new decisions and support provided by the Telangana government at the university over the years.
All Directors, Deans, Heads of Branches Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff members, and representatives of University Service Associations attended the celebrations.

ఘనంగా తెలంగాణా ప్రజాపాలన దినోత్సవం
హైదరాబాద్ : డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో తెలంగాణ ప్రజాపాలన దినోత్సవ వేడుకలు ఘనంగా జరిగాయి. విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్, డా.యల్. విజయ కృష్ణా రెడ్డి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రాంగణంలో జాతీయ పతాకాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించారు.
దేశానికి స్వతంత్రం వచ్చినా హైదరాబాద్ సంస్థానంలోని ప్రజలకు స్వేఛ్చ రాలేదని ఆ సమయంలో ఇక్కడి ప్రజల పోరాటాల ఫలితంగా హైదరాబాద్ సంస్థానంలోని ప్రజలకు స్వాతంత్రం సిద్దించినట్లు ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. సంవత్సర కాలంగా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో జరిగిన అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను, నూతన నిర్ణయాలను, తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం అందిస్తున్న సహకారాన్ని ఆయన వివరించారు.
