Hyderabad: Mr Balamukund Tarikere Narayana from India (Telangana state) won Gold Medal & Lifetime Achievement Award at the WFFYS (World Fitness Federation Yoga Sports) International’s Asia Pacific Yogasana competitions at Hotel Marino Beach, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The Yogasana competitions were declared open by the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Mr Priantha Fernando. He appreciated and wished success of the conduct of the International yoga competitions and the yoga players participated. Sri Lanka’s cultural performances were followed.
Mr Shivam Bhadauria, International President. WFFYSI; Mr W.L.M.I. Aravinda, National President, WFFYSI, Sri Lanka; Ms. Ritu Rawat, Organising Director, WFFYSI and Mr M. Rajesh Achari, Technical Director, WFFYSI Asia Championship spoke on the occasion.
Fifty five Yoga players from various states of India were selected by WFFYSI to represent India who participated in the Asia Pacific Yogasana event held at Colombo. Mr Balamukund Tarikere Narayana was the only yoga player from Telangana state who was selected by WFFYSI to represent India for the International Yogasana Competitions.
