Hyderabad: Whatever good work the government undertakes, whatever development activities it initiates, the opposition parties create a ruckus and try to sling mud, said State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Participating in the ‘Face-to-Face with Ministers’ programme at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, he received petitions from the public and interacted with officials on several complaints.
Later, addressing a press conference in Gandhi Bhavan, he said that false propaganda was being spread about the Industrial land Policy and clarified that the objective of the policy is to make Hyderabad a pollution-free city.
He said there is no scope for any scam in this policy and that the policy introduced by the government is highly transparent.
He stated that BJP and BRS leaders have not understood the policy and suggested that they should first understand it fully.
The opposition, he said, is intentionally slinging mud at the government even though they know very well that no corruption has taken place. Unable to tolerate the positive public response to the government’s good initiatives, they are resorting to malicious propaganda.
He stated that there has long been a demand to shift industries outside the ORR to make Hyderabad a pollution-free city, and that this is not a new demand.
“This is not a new policy brought by us; it existed earlier as well. But the opposition parties are creating unnecessary controversy as if we introduced something entirely new,” he said.
He noted that even during the BRS government’s tenure, discussions were held on this policy.
He ridiculed the BRS party for claiming that they would change the policy if they came to power, saying, “They are not coming to power, and the policy will not be changed.”
The minister said he was involved in formulating the Industrial land Policy and that the new policy would generate additional revenue for the state. He added that the opposition is opposing everything the Congress government does simply for the sake of opposition.
Referring to BRS allegations of a ₹50,000-crore scam in the construction of power plants, he said not even a ₹50,000 scam had taken place, let alone ₹50,000 crore.
He alleged that the Bhadradri Kothagudem Power Project, constructed during the BRS regime, was itself a major scam. He said the previous government purchased unused, outdated equipment from a company called India Bulls and constructed the plant with sub-critical technology, rendering it practically unusable.
He questioned why outdated technology was used for the Bhadradri project and criticised it as an unnecessary burden imposed on the people of Telangana.

అనేక ఫిర్యాదులపై ఆయన అధికారులతో మాట్లాడారు. అనంతరం గాంధీ భవన్ లో మీడియా సమావేశంలో మాట్లాడుతూ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ ల్యాండ్ పాలసీపై అసత్య ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారని, హైదరాబాద్ నగరాన్ని పొల్యూషన్ ఫ్రీ చేయడమే పాలసీ లక్ష్యంగా పని చేస్తున్నామని అన్నారు.
ఈ పాలసీలో ఎలాంటి కుంభకోణానికి ఆస్కారమే లేదని మేం తెచ్చిన విధానం అత్యంత పారదర్శకమైన పాలసీ అని ఆయన అన్నారు. బీజేపీ, బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ నాయకులకు మేం తెచ్చిన పాలసీ అర్థం కాలేదని వారు పాలసీని పూర్తిగా అర్థం చేసుకుంటే బాగుంటుందని అన్నారు. ప్రతిపక్షాలు కావాలనే ప్రభుత్వంపై బురద చల్లుతున్నారని అవినీతి జరగలేదని వారికి కూడా తెలుసునని కానీ ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తున్న మంచి పనులతో ప్రజల్లో స్పందన వస్తుండడంతో తట్టుకోలేక ఇలా దుష్ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారని అన్నారు.
హైదరాబాద్ నగరాన్ని కాలుష్య రహితంగా మార్చేందుకు ఇండస్ట్రీలను ORR బయటకి పంపాలని డిమాండ్ ఉందని ఇది కొత్త డిమాండ్ కాదని అన్నారు. ఇది మేం కొత్తగా తెచ్చిన పాలసీ కాదు, గతంలో కూడా ఈ పాలసీ ఉంది కాని ఇది మేమే కొత్తగా తెచ్చిన పాలసీ లాగా ప్రతిపక్ష పార్టీలు గొడవ చేస్తున్నాయని విమర్శించారు.. బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వంలో కూడా ఈ పాలసీపై చర్చ జరిగిందని అన్నారు..
బీఆర్ఎస్ తాము అధికారంలోకి వస్తే ఈ విధానాన్ని మారుస్తామని అంటున్నారని వాళ్ళు అధికారంలోకి వచ్చేది లేదు. పాలసీ మార్చేది లేదు అని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. ఇండస్ట్రియల్ పాలసీ రూపకల్పనలో నేను భాగంగా ఉన్నానని కొత్త ఇండస్ట్రియల్ ల్యాండ్ పాలసీతో రాష్ట్రానికి అదనపు ఆదాయం వస్తుందని అన్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం ఏం చేసినా వ్యతిరేకించాలనే ఉద్దేశ్యం తప్పా ఏం లేదని అన్నారు
విద్యుత్ కేంద్రాల నిర్మాణంలో 50 వేల కోట్ల కుంభకోణం జరిగిందని బిఆర్ఎస్ ఆరోపిస్తుందని, 50 వేల కోట్లు కాదు 50 వేల రూపాయల కుంభకోణం కూడా జరగలేదని అన్నారు. బిఆర్ఎస్ హయాంలో నిర్మించిన భద్రాద్రి కొత్తగూడెం పవర్ ప్రాజెక్టు పెద్ద కుంభకోణం అని, గత ప్రభుత్వం ఇండియా బుల్ అనే కంపెనీ దగ్గర ఉపయోగంలో లేని పరికరాలు కొనుగోలు చేసి సబ్ క్రిటికల్ సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానంతో ఈ కేంద్రాన్ని నిర్మించారని ఇది ఎందుకు ఉపయోగించలేని పరిస్థితి ఉందని అన్నారు.
భద్రాద్రి కొత్తగూడెం విద్యుత్ ప్రాజెక్టు అవుట్ డేటెడ్ టెక్నాలజీ వాడాల్సిన అవసరం ఏముందని, భద్రాద్రి ప్రాజెక్టు అనవసరంగా తెలంగాణ ప్రజలపై రుద్దిన ప్రాజెక్టు అని ఆయన దుయ్యబట్టారు.
