Hyderabad: BRS party working president K.T. Rama Rao has raised serious concerns regarding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s repeated trips to Delhi, alleging that these visits are solely aimed at pleasing his superiors rather than addressing the state’s issues. KTR criticized the Chief Minister’s visits to Delhi, stating that he is there only to account for the funds related to the curruption in the Musi project with 1.5 lakh crores. KTR accused him of holding meetings with his Delhi high command to disrupt the lives of the poor people in the name of the Musi project. KTR remarked that instead of focusing on Telangana’s development and administration, CM Reddy is occupied with extensive meetings in Delhi, potentially jeopardizing the well-being of the state’s poor and marginalized citizens.

KTR pointed out that within a span of just ten months, the Chief Minister has traveled to Delhi 23 times. He questioned the necessity of these frequent trips and demanded clarity on the tangible benefits these visits have brought to Telangana. KTR asked, “Have the funds spent on flights at least been matched by any contributions secured for the state?”

KTR went on to criticize CM Reddy for placing Telangana’s self-respect at stake by continuously appealing to Delhi high command. He accused the Chief Minister of focusing on his political position rather than fulfilling the promises made to the people. The Chief Minister’s repeated assurances that these trips are for securing funds appear to be a mere cover, said KTR.

Furthermore, KTR stated that even before the Congress came to power, it was evident that if they won, they would continue to bow down to Delhi. He emphasized that this pattern has now become a reality, as the Chief Minister prioritizes his position over the interests of the Telangana people.

KTR urged CM Reddy to recall that the people of Telangana did not grant him authority to be at Delhi’s beck and call, but rather to improve the lives of the poor and marginalized within the state. He stressed that Telangana needs a leader focused on the state’s welfare, not one occupied with securing his political future. KTR advised the Chief Minister to abandon these needless trips and instead dedicate his efforts towards fulfilling the promises made to the people of Telangana, rather than sacrificing the state’s dignity on the national stage.
