Hyderabad : Dr B R Ambedkar Open University, Centre for Skill Development and Vocational Training centre organised three day workshop on “Course Development” and Enhancement with Employability Attributes and Guidelines” in Collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning & Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA) concluded on December 16-18, 2025 at Computer Lab, CSTD Building, University Campus on Thursday.
Prof. Prof. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director Academic said this workshop is a part of the Employability Framework developed by BRAOU under the Graduate Employability Project, which is first of its kind in the country. The workshop concentrated on providing hands-on training on how to integrate Employability Skills into the curriculum.
Twenty-seven Teachers participated in this workshop during which 12 courses were integrated with Employability Skills. This workshop will pave the way for the creation of employability embedded curriculum in the days to come.
This workshop was organized under the mentorship of Prof. V. Venkaiah, former Vice Chancellor of Krishna University who was designated by COL as the consultant to hand-hold BRAOU in the process of developing employment-oriented courses.
Prof. Pallavi Kabde, Coordinator, Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre gave the details of the three day work. She said the conduct of the workshop which saw active and enthusiastic participation from Teachers belonging to different disciplines of the University.
Workshop will integrate Employability Skills into the curriculum offered by different disciplines of the University. The development of courses with employability integration is the final outcome of this workshop. Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, Director, EMR&RC, Heads of Academic Departments and faculty members participated in the workshop.

ఈ మొగింపు కార్యక్రమానికి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. పుష్ప చక్రపాణి హాజరయ్యారు. ఆమే మాట్లాడుతూ ఉద్యోగ సామర్థ్య నైపుణ్యాలను పాఠ్యాంశాల్లో ఎలా చేర్చాలనే అనే అంశాలపై ఆచరణాత్మక శిక్షణ ఇవ్వడంపై ఈ మూడు రోజుల కార్యశాల (వర్క్షాప్) దృష్టి సారించిందన్నారు. ఇందులో ఇరవై ఏడు మంది యూనివర్సిటీ అధ్యాపకులు పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా 12 కోర్సులను ఉపాధి సామర్థ్య నైపుణ్యాలతో కలిపి కోర్సులను ఎలా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలి అనే దానిపై సమగ్రంగా శిక్షణను ఇచ్చినట్లు వెల్లడించారు. ఈ వర్క్షాప్ రాబోయే రోజుల్లో ఉపాధి సామర్థ్య, ఎంబెడెడ్ పాఠ్యాంశాలను రూపొందించడానికి కీలకంగా మారనుందని వివరించారు.
ఈ శిక్షణా తరగతులకు కృష్ణా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం మాజీ వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొ. వి. వెంకయ్య మార్గదర్శకత్వం వహించారు. ఆయన ఉపాధి ఆధారిత కోర్సులను అభివృద్ధి చేసే ప్రక్రియలో అంబేద్కర్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి ఎల్లపుడు సహాయం చేయడానికి అందుబాటులో ఉంటానని వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో సెంటర్ ఫర్ స్కిల్ డెవలప్మెంట్ అండ్ వొకేషనల్ ట్రైనింగ్ సెంటర్ కో-ఆర్డినేటర్ ప్రొ.పల్లవి కాబ్డే మాట్లాడుతూ మూడు రోజుల కార్యక్రమ వివరాలను వివరించారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలోని వివిధ విభాగాలకు చెందిన అధ్యాపకులకు కోర్సుల రూపకల్పనలో స్కిల్ ఆధారిత కోర్సులను అనుసంధానం చేయడమే ఈ సదస్సు లక్ష్యం అని ఆమె వివరించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో ఈ. ఎం. ఎం. ఆర్. సి. డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ.డి. రవీంద్రనాథ్ సోలమన్, పలు విభాగాల డైరెక్టర్లు విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అధ్యాపక సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.
