• Youth need nationalism, not hatred
• BRAOU Two day national conference concluded
Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Research and Development (GRCR&D) in collaborations with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR-SRC) Hyderabad organized a two days national seminar on “Exploring the Contributions of the Unsung Warriors in Freedom Struggle – Contemporary Relevance” on August 23-24, 2023 at the University Campus. Prof. Ismat Mehdi, Former Head, Department of Arabic, EFLU & Writer was the chief guest for the Valedictory function.
Prof.Mehdi stated that Telangana is peaceful without any hatred as the name given to people of different religions and cultural traditions. She said that the 76 years of independent India, the clash between the rich and the poor and caste religions is not a good outcome. She also suggested that the biographies of many nobles who participated in the freedom movement have not been brought to light and that research should be done in the universities.
Prof.Adapa Satyanarayana, Former Head, Department of History, Osmania University was the keynote speaker of the Valedictory program. He said that the heroic stories of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom need to be known to the future generations and suggested that historians and researchers should make an effort in that direction.
Prof.Kousar Jabeen, Former Head, Department of Political Science (Retd.) Osamania University attended as Guests of Honour for the program. She said that by hiding the history of those who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of the country, they are imposing the history of separatists on the people of the country and spreading hatred between religions, which has undermined the integrity of the country and secularism. The policies adopted by the central government were indirectly criticized.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program. Prof. Rao said that the two-day national conference has shown the way for future researches and stated that more national conferences will be held in the coming days. It was revealed that the issues raised by the distinguished guests who participated in the conference led to a discussion among the research scholars and there is a possibility of continuing research on these in the coming days.
Dr.A.V.R.N Reddy, Registrar also spoke on the occasion. Prof.E.Sudha Rani, Seminar Director, presented a detailed reported of two days workshop will be useful for research students and teachers. She explained the need and necessity of organizing this workshop. It has been revealed that many social science teachers were participated in this two days national seminar and guide the research students. All Directors, Deans, Heads of the Branches, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff, Representatives of services associations, Research Scholars & Students are participated in the proram.
In the fifth sessions Prof .Shaik Mahboob Basha, Department of History, Maulana Azad National Urdu University spoke on “Retrieving Andhra Women’s Participation in National Movement. Dr. A. Raghu Kumar, Senior Advocate, Telangana High Court, Hyderabad spoke on “Darsi Chenchaiah- An Unsung Hero of struggle for Independence. Prof. ShakeelaKhanum acted as chairpersons for these sessions.

హైదరాబాద్: భిన్న మతాల ప్రజలు, సంస్కృతీ సాంప్రదాయాలకు పెట్టిన పేరుగా ఎలాంటి విద్వేషాలు లేకుండా తెలంగాణా ప్రశాంతంగా ఉందని ఇఫ్లూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అరబిక్ విభాగ మాజీ ఆచార్యులు ప్రొ.ఇస్మత్ మెహదీ పేర్కొన్నారు. డా.బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్శిటీ, ప్రొ. జి రామ్ రెడ్డి సెంటర్ ఫర్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్ మరియు ఇండియన్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ సోషల్ సైన్స్ రీసెర్చ్ సంయుక్తంగా “స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో గుర్తింపునకు నోచుకోని యోధులను అన్వేషించడం – సమకాలీన ఔచిత్యం” అనే అంశంపై నిర్వహించిన రెండు రోజుల సదస్సు ముగింపు కార్యక్రమానికి ప్రొ.ఇస్మత్ మెహదీ ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరై ప్రసంగించారు.
ప్రొ.మెహదీ మాట్లాడుతూ 76 సంవత్సరాల స్వతంత్ర భారత దేశంలో పేద ధనిక, కుల మతాల ఘర్షణలు జరగడం మంచి పరిణామం కాదని యువతకు విద్వేషాలు రెచ్చగొట్టేల కాకుండా మతసామరస్యాన్ని కాపాడేలా బోధనలు జరగాలని సూచించారు. స్వాతంత్రోద్యమంలో పాల్గొన్న ఎందరో మహానుభావుల జీవిత చరిత్రలు ఇప్పటికీ వెలుగులోకి రాలేదని ఆ దిశగా విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో పరిశోధనలు జరగాలని సూచించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయ చరిత్ర విభాగం మాజీ ఆచార్యులు. అడపా సత్యనారాయణ ప్రధాన వక్తగా పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు. మాట్లాడుతూ స్వాతంత్ర్యం కోసం ప్రాణాలు అర్పించిన వారి వీర గాధలు భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు తెలియాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని, చరిత్రకారులు, పరిశోధకులు ఆ దిశగా ప్రయత్నం చేయాలని సూచించారు.
ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రాజనీతి శాస్త్ర విభాగం విశ్రాంత అధ్యాపకురాలు ప్రొ. కౌసర్ జబీన్ గౌరవ అతిథిగా పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు. ఆమే మాట్లాడుతూ దేశ సమగ్రత కోసం ప్రాణాలు అర్పించిన వారి చరిత్రను మరుగున పడేసి విచ్చిన్నకారుల చరిత్రను దేశ ప్రజలపైన రుద్దుతున్నారని, మతాల మధ్య విద్వేషాన్ని చిమ్ముతున్నారని ఇది దేశ సమగ్రతను, లౌకిక వాదాన్ని దేబ్బతీస్త్ఝుందని ఆవేదని వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అవలంభిస్తున్న విధానాలను పరోక్షంగా దుయ్యబట్టారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ఆచార్య.కె. సీతారామారావు మాట్లాడుతూ రెండు రోజుల పాటు జరిగిన జాతీయ సదస్సు భవిష్యత్ పరిశోధనలకు దారి చూపించినట్లు అయ్యిందని రానున్న రోజుల్లో మరిన్ని జాతీయ సదస్సులు నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ సదస్సులో పాల్గొన్న ప్రఖ్యాత అతిథులు లేవనెత్తిన విషయాలు పరిశోధక విద్యార్ధుల్లో చర్చకు దారితీసాయని, రానున్న రోజుల్లో వీటిపై పరిశోధనలు కొనసాగే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
ప్రొ. జి. రామ్ రెడ్డి సెంటర్ ఫర్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్, డైరెక్టర్ ప్రో. సుధారాణి మాట్లాడుతూ రెండు రోజుల పాటు నిర్వహించిన ఈ సదస్సు పరిశోధక విద్యార్ధులకు, అధ్యాపకులకు ఉపయోగకారిగా నిలువనుందని వివరించారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్, డా. ఎ.వి.ఆర్.ఎన్ రెడ్డి కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రసంగించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో పలు విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్లు, అధ్యాపక, అధ్యపకేతర సిబ్బంది, పలు ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు, పరిశోధక విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన ఐదవ సెషన్స్‌లో మౌలానా ఆజాద్ జాతీయ ఉర్దూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ చరిత్ర విభాగ ఆచార్యులు షేక్ మహబూబ్ బాషా “జాతీయ ఉద్యమంలో మహిళల భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని పునరుద్ధరించడం” అనే అంశంపై ప్రసంగించారు. తెలంగాణ హైకోర్టు సీనియర్ న్యాయవాది డా. ఎ. రఘు కుమార్ “దర్శి చెంచయ్య- స్వాతంత్య్ర పోరాటంలో గుర్తించ పడని వీరుడు” అనే అంశంపై ప్రసంగించారు. ఈ సెషన్ కి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఆర్ట్స్ విభాగ డీన్ ప్రొ.షకీలాఖానమ్ చైర్ పర్సన్ గా వ్యవహరించారు.
