Hyderabad: Under BRS’s 9-year rule, Telangana’s healthcare sector reached new heights, becoming a national model. The state successfully implemented numerous revolutionary schemes, setting an example for others to follow. Clear planning and strong actions lifted Telangana’s healthcare from the bottom to the top in the country. But in just nine months of Congress rule, neglect has led to a complete collapse of the healthcare system. It feels like the old Congress days have returned.
The state’s neglect of the health department has become a curse for the poor. During the BRS administration, the media reported the achievements of hospitals, but now, under Congress rule, the news is filled with reports of the deplorable conditions in hospitals. “Collapsed public health, rat-contaminated medicines, deliveries on chairs, three patients on a single bed”—these are just some of the shocking headlines about the state of the health department published today. This is a testament to the Congress government’s negligent attitude towards public health.
Even with the onset of the monsoon, the government has failed to take preventive measures, conduct reviews on hospital preparedness, or address sanitation issues. As a result, seasonal diseases like malaria and dengue are rampant, affecting people in both rural and urban areas. The situation has become so dire that hospital beds are scarce. In the last month and a half, 5,246 dengue cases have been reported. Official figures show a 36% increase in dengue cases compared to last year. Just the other day, five people tragically died due to dengue. When people are dying from fevers, what exactly is the state government, particularly the Chief Minister, doing?

నిర్దిష్టమైన ప్రణాళిక,పటిష్టమైన చర్యలతో వైద్యరంగంలో అట్టడుగున ఉన్న తెలంగాణను దేశంలోనే అగ్రస్థానంలో నిలిపింది. కానీ ఈ తొమ్మిది నెలల కాంగ్రెస్ పాలనలో వైద్యారోగ్యరంగం పూర్తిగా నిర్లక్ష్యానికి గురైంది. కాంగ్రెస్ పాలన పుణ్యమా అని మళ్లీ.. “నేను రాను బిడ్డ సర్కారు దవాఖానానకు” అనే రోజులు పునరావృతం అయ్యాయి.
రాష్ట్రంలో వైద్య ఆరోగ్యశాఖ నిర్లక్ష్యం పేద ప్రజలకు శాపంగా మారింది. బీ ఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో హాస్పటల్లో ఘనతను చాటేలా వార్తలు వస్తే, కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వ పాలనలో ఆసుపత్రుల అధ్వాన్న పరిస్థితుల గురించి రోజూ వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయి. “పడకేసిన ప్రజారోగ్యం, రోగుల మందులు ఎలుకల పాలు, కుర్చీలోనే గర్భిణీ డెలివరీ, ఒకే బెడ్ పై ముగ్గురికి ట్రీట్మెంట్” … ఇవన్నీ ఈ ఒక్క రోజు పత్రికల్లో వైద్య ఆరోగ్యశాఖపై నిర్వాకంపై వచ్చిన వార్తా కథనాలు. ప్రజారోగ్య సంరక్షణ పట్ల కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వా నిర్లక్ష్య వైఖరికి ఇది నిదర్శనం.
వానాకాలం వస్తున్నప్పటికీ ముందస్తు చర్యలు తీసుకోకపోవడం ఆస్పత్రుల సన్నధ్ధతపై సమీక్షలు నిర్వహించకపోవడం పారిశుధ్యాన్ని పట్టించుకోకపోవడం వల్ల మలేరియా, డెంగీ లాంటి సీజనల్ రోగాలు విజృంభిస్తున్నాయి. పల్లె, పట్టణం అని తేడా లేకుండా వైరల్ ఫీవర్లతో ప్రతి ఇద్దరిలో ఒకరు బాధపడుతున్నారు. ఆస్పత్రుల్లో పడకలు దొరకని పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడింది. గడచిన నెలన్నర కాలంలో 5246 డెంగీ కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి. గత సంవత్సరంతో పోలిస్తే 36% డెంగీ కేసులు అధికంగా నమోదయ్యాయని అధికారిక లెక్కలు తెలుపుతున్నాయి. మొన్న ఒక్కరోజే ఐదుగురు డెంగీ వల్ల మృత్యువాట పడిన విషాద పరిస్థితి. జ్వరాలతో ప్రజలు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయే పరిస్థితి వచ్చిందంటే రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం, ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఏం చేస్తున్నట్టు.?
ప్రభుత్వ నిర్లక్ష్యం ఎంతోమంది కుటుంబాల్లో అంతులేని దుఃఖాన్ని మిగిలించింది. ఈ మరణాలు ముమ్మాటికీ ప్రభుత్వ హత్యలే, దీనికి కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం బాధ్యత వహించాలి. మరణించిన వారికి 10 లక్షల ఎక్స్గ్రేషియా ప్రకటించాలి.
మార్పు కావాలంటే కాంగ్రెస్ రావాలని ఊదరగొట్టిన కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఇపుడు ఏమని సమాధానం చెబుతుంది? మీకు రాజకీయాలపై ఉన్న శ్రద్ధ ప్రజారోగ్యంపై లేకపోవడం శోచనీయం. ప్రభుత్వం మొద్దు నిద్ర వీడాలంటే ఇంకా ఎన్ని ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోవాల్సి వస్తుందని ప్రజలు ఆందోళన చెందుతున్నారు. ఇప్పటికైనా ప్రభుత్వం స్పందించి వెంటనే వైద్య ఆరోగ్యశాఖపై అత్యవసర సమీక్ష నిర్వహించాలని, ప్రజా ఆరోగ్యాన్ని కాపాడాలని డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాం.
