Hyderabad: The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Hyderabad chapter extended hearty congratulations to Shri Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on assuming office as the Minister of Information and Public Relations Department in the recently established Congress Government led by A. Revanth Reddy. The accolade was conferred during an Executive Committee meeting convened on Sunday, where members passed a unanimous resolution affirming their endorsement.
According to the resolution, Shri Ponguleti’s appointment is lauded as a judicious choice by the Chief Minister, who recognized his dual strength as both a seasoned politician and an adept communicator. The I and PR department, regarded as the key vehicle for disseminating government policies and initiatives, is poised to thrive under Shri Ponguleti’s leadership, the resolution stated.
Dr. S. Ramu, Chairman of the PRSI Hyderabad chapter, expressed optimism about Shri Ponguleti’s capability to elevate the I and PR department to unprecedented heights. Dr. Ramu, who also belongs to Khammam district as the Minister does, attested to Shri Ponguleti’s amicable approach towards the public. “Shri Ponguleti embodies the essential qualities of a PR professional – he smiles, listens, and appreciates, which are the three foundational principles of effective public relations,” Dr. Ramu, who received the ‘Best Chairman Award’ at the International PR Festival held in Delhi recently, remarked.
Dr.Ramu, recalled the challenges faced by the I and PR Department in the preceding administration, emphasizing its perceived inaccessibility.
He remarked on the importance of transparent and communicative governance, expressing confidence that Shri Ponguleti’s tenure would usher in a new era of responsiveness and accessibility. “It’s crucial for the department to be accessible to the public, and Shri Ponguleti’s reputation as a communicator instills hope for a more open and interactive government,” he stated.
K. Yadagiri, Secretary of PRSI Hyderabad, announced plans for a delegation to extend felicitations to the newly-appointed Minister for I and PR. The PRSI is gearing up to invite Shri Ponguleti to officiate the release of the PRSI diary-2024 during the last week of December, marking a symbolic collaboration between the esteemed organization and the dynamic minister.
