హైదరాబాద్ : పర్యాటక శాఖా మంత్రి జూపల్లి కృష్ణారావు ఏప్రిల్ 17న నేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ టూరిజం అండ్ హాస్పిటాలిటీ మేనేజ్మెంట్ (NITHM) నిర్వహిస్తున్న SIPAS ప్రాజెక్టును ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు యూరోపియన్ యూనియన్ మద్దతుతో అమలవుతోంది. ఇదే సమయములో మంత్రి www.sipas.in అనే వెబ్సైట్ను కూడా ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో లాట్వియా దేశం నుండి వచ్చిన విడ్జెమ్ యూనివర్సిటీ ప్రొఫెసర్ అగిత, పోర్చుగల్ దేశం నుండి డురేట్ బ్రాసిల్, ఇండియా నుండి పాండిచ్చేరి యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన ప్రొఫెసర్ సంపద స్వైన్, కర్ణాటక సెంట్రల్ యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన డాక్టర్ మహేందర్ తదితరులను సన్మానించారు.
ప్రారంభ కార్యక్రమంలో NITHM విద్యార్థులు సంప్రదాయ నృత్యం ప్రదర్శించారు. తరువాత ముఖ్య అతిథులు దీప ప్రజ్వలన చేశారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో TGTDCL మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రకాశ్ రెడ్డి, NITHM డైరెక్టర్ జెండగే హనుమంత్ కొండిబా తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ఉన్నత విద్యా మండలి చైర్మన్ ప్రొఫెసర్ బాలకిష్ట రెడ్డి రాష్ట్రంలో విద్యా పాఠ్యాంశాల మార్పులపై ప్రసంగించారు.
డా. త్రయంబకం SIPAS ప్రాజెక్టు లక్ష్యాలు వివరించారు. ఇది విద్యార్థులకు అవసరమైన నైపుణ్యాలపై ఆధారంగా కొత్త పాఠ్య ప్రణాళికను రూపొందించనుంది. కర్ణాటక సెంట్రల్ యూనివర్సిటీకి చెందిన డా. మహేందర్ రెడ్డి ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు మూడు దేశాల్లో ఎలా పనిచేస్తుందో వివరించారు. ప్రధాన అతిథి జెండగే హనుమంత్ కొండిబా విద్యా సంస్థలు మరియు పరిశ్రమల మధ్య సహకారం పెరగాలన్నారు. ప్రొఫెసర్ సంపద స్వైన్ SIPAS ప్రాజెక్టు మేనేజర్గా ప్రాజెక్టు యొక్క స్థిరత్వం మరియు అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలపై మాట్లాడారు.
TGTDCL డైరెక్టర్ ప్రకాష్ రెడ్డి నైపుణ్యాలు కలిగిన మానవ వనరుల అవసరాన్ని వివరించి, NITHM డైరెక్టర్ హనుమంత్ కొండిబా ని అభినందించారు. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా AR/VR టెక్నాలజీ ఉపయోగించి హాస్పిటాలిటీ విద్యార్థులకు కొత్త పాఠ్య ప్రణాళిక అందించనుంది. ఈ వర్క్షాప్లో తాజ్, గ్రీన్ పార్క్, రాడిసన్ బ్లూ వంటి ప్రముఖ హోటళ్ల మేనేజర్లు, టూర్ ఆపరేటర్లు పాల్గొన్నారు. ఇండియా ట్రావెల్ ఏజెంట్ అసోసియేషన్ జాతీయ అధ్యక్షుడు సునీల్ మరియు తెలంగాణ అధ్యక్షుడు నాగేశ్ పాంపటి కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు.

Hyderabad: Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao inaugurated a European Funded Project SIPAS implemented by National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management on 17th April 2025. Minister Jupally also launched the Project Website www.sipas.in.
On this occasion the Hon’ble Minister felicitated the delegates from Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia, Prof. Agita, Prof. Durate Xara Brasil, Instituto Politechnico De Setubal, Portugal Prof. Sampada Kumar Swain of Pondicherry University and Dr. G. Mahender, Associate Professor & HoD, Central University of Karnataka and other Consortium Members on this occasion.
The workshop commenced with a vibrant traditional dance performance by NITHM students, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished dignitaries including N. Prakash Reddy, Managing Director of TGTDC; Zendage Hanumant Kondiba, IAS, Director of NITHM; and key representatives from the SIPAS Project consortium across India, Latvia, and Portugal. On this occasion Prof. Balakista Reddy, Chairman of Telangana Council of Higher Education shared the states vision reforming education syllabus.
Dr. P. Thrayambakam provided an overview of the SIPAS initiative, highlighting its mission to create skill-driven, industry-relevant curricula. Dr. G. Mahender Reddy of Central University of Karnataka elaborated on the project’s extensive scope, which spans three countries and comprises seven focused work packages aimed at enhancing student employability and fostering international academic collaboration.
Delivering the keynote address, Zendage Hanumant Kondiba, IAS, emphasized the need for stronger synergy between academia and industry to enable practical, technology-oriented learning experiences. Prof. Sampada Swain, SIPAS Project Manager from Pondicherry University, along with other academic experts, reinforced the project’s focus on sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with international educational standards.
The Managing Director, TGTDC N. Prakash Reddy, IPS briefed the meeting about the importance of skilled manpower and congratulated NITHM Director Zendage Hanumant Kondiba, IAS for taking initiative to implement to European Project.
The project is expected to provide new curriculum which includes the use of AR/VR technology for making the students of hospitality and ready for challenging roles. The workshop was attended by the heads of departments and General Managers from leading hotels such as Taj Group, Green Park, Radison Blu etc., and Travel Agencies & Tour Operators.
The National President of Travel Agent Association of India Mr. Sunil and Telangana Chairman Mr. Nagesh Pampati were among the dignitaries present.
