Hyderabad: St. George’s Degree & PG College for Women, Abids inaugurated ‘Onyx Mass Comm Studio’ at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, a state-of-the-art studio facility designed to enhance the quality of Journalism education on the same day of Freshers Day celebration of under graduate students.
Mr. Nagaraju, Freelance Trainer and Dr. Sajida Khan, First Female Sound Engineer in India was the Guest of Honour at the event and inaugurated the studio on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in the presence of Rev. Dr. P. Solomon Raj, Presbyter Incharge, St. George’s Church, Special Officer R. Satyanandam, St. George’s Institutions, Principal G.S. Caroline, Superintendent of St. George’s Institutions Mr. Amos Wilburn and faculty members.

The studio has camera production facility with audio video suits, lights, editing software, computers and other equipment. Principal Mrs. G.S. Caroline said the studio will immensely help the students to get practical knowledge regarding handling the camera, presentation, recording audio and videos and other post-production works.
Department’s mouthpiece “The FlameKeepers’ an audio podcast was also launched on this occasion. The podcast is aimed for the students who dare to keep the fire alive andto celebrate the voices that spark change, stories that ignite emotions.

हैदराबाद : सेंट जॉर्ज डिग्री एंड पीजी कॉलेज फॉर वुमन, आबिड्स में पत्रकारिता और जनसंचार विभाग में ‘ओनिक्स मास कम्युनिकेशन स्टूडियो’ का उद्घाटन किया गया। यह स्टूडियो पत्रकारिता शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता को बढ़ाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। इस अवसर पर फ्रीलांस प्रशिक्षक नागराजू और भारत की पहली महिला ध्वनि अभियंता डॉ. साजिदा खान मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित थे।
स्टूडियो की विशेषताएं
स्टूडियो में कैमरा उत्पादन सुविधा के साथ ऑडियो-वीडियो सूट, लाइट्स, संपादन सॉफ्टवेयर, कंप्यूटर और अन्य उपकरण हैं। प्रधानाचार्य श्रीमती जीएस कैरोलिन ने कहा कि स्टूडियो छात्रों को कैमरा संचालन, प्रस्तुति, ऑडियो और वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग और अन्य पोस्ट-प्रोडक्शन कार्यों के बारे में व्यावहारिक ज्ञान प्राप्त करने में मदद करेगा।
विभाग की पहल
विभाग की मुखपत्रिका “द फ्लेमकीपर्स” एक ऑडियो पॉडकास्ट भी इस अवसर पर लॉन्च किया गया। यह पॉडकास्ट उन छात्रों के लिए है जो आग को जीवित रखने की हिम्मत रखते हैं और उन आवाजों का जश्न मनाते हैं जो बदलाव लाते हैं, कहानियां जो भावनाओं को प्रज्वलित करती हैं।
