Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University organized Prof. K. Jayashankar Memorial Lecture at its campus as part of 89th Birthday Celebrations on August 11, 2023 at the university campus. Dr. Banda Prakash, Deputy Chairman, Telangana Legislative Council, Govt. of Telanganan attended as Chief guest on the occasion & delivered the lecture on “Telangana Development Trajectory” Dr. Prakash said Telangana state has achieved comprehensive development by standing at the top position in the country in terms of urban and rural progress with Honble Chief Minister KCR.
He said that policy decisions play a major role in development. Governance should be appealing to the people, that is, people should be involved in the governance. He said that after the emergence of the separate state of Telangana, the division of large districts and the formation of new districts helped to decentralize governance and bring governance closer to the people, which has become the root cause of development today.
He said that the formation of new Revenue divisions, Mandals, formation of Tandas and Gudas as Gram panchayats, formation of new Municipalities and Corporations have brought the governance of the government closer to the people. No other state in the country has as many welfare schemes as Telangana. He explained that there is no other place in the world where large amounts of funds are deposited directly into the accounts of beneficiaries without any scope for corruption. Welfare programs like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima are continuing unabated.
He said that projects like Kaleshwaram are widely useful for rural development. He explained that education, medicine, establishment of Gurukulas, Basti Davakanas, waiver of farmers’ loans are changing the rural face of Telangana and moving on the path of economic development. A unified Telangana industrial policy has attracted investors. He said revolutionary reforms like Telangana I-pass, industrial development and Dharani have helped the economic development of Telangana.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program, Prof. Rao said that the state of Telangana, which was formed 9 years ago, is at the forefront of the country in the development sector and more than 90 percent of the development awards at the national level are coming to Telangana. Telangana State Chief Minister KCR said that Telangana’s foresight, awareness of resource availability, economic discipline training and provision of welfare schemes to the poor have made Telangana top in the country.
Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, Director Academic, BRAOU introduced about the program and Chief Guest. Prof. Chakrapani said that development is a continuous process and comprehensive development is possible only when the rulers are along with the development of the society.
Dr. A.V.N. Reddy, Registrar spoke on the occasion & Proposed vote of thanks. Earlier, the Directors, Heads of the Branches, Deans, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members and representatives of various service associations garlanded the portrait of Prof.K.Jayashankar and offered rich floral tributes.

హైదరాబాద్: తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ నేత, ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేసీఆర్ చిత్త శుద్ధి, పట్టుదల, దూరదృష్టి తోనే తెలంగాణ రాష్త్రం అటు పట్టణ ప్రగతిలో, ఇటు గ్రామీణ ప్రగతిలో దేశంలోనే అగ్రస్థానంలో నిలిచి సమగ్ర అభివృద్ధిని సాధించాయని తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర శాసన మండలి ఉపాధ్యక్షులు డా. బండ ప్రకాష్ పేర్కొన్నారు. తెలంగాణ సిద్ధాంతకర్త, ప్రొ. కే.జయశంకర్ 89వ జయంతిని పురస్కరించుకుని అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో శుక్రవారం స్మారకోపన్యాసం నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర శాసన మండలి ఉపాధ్యక్షులు డా. బండ ప్రకాష్ “తెలంగాణ అభివృద్ధి పథం” అనే అంశంపై ప్రసంగించారు.
ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ అబివృద్ధిలో విధాన పరమైన నిర్ణాయాలు ప్రధాన పాత్ర పోషిస్తాయన్నారు. పాలన అనేది ప్రజలను ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఉండాలని, అంటే పాలనలో ప్రజలను భాగస్వాములను చేయాలన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రత్యేక రాష్త్రం ఆవిర్భావం తర్వాత పెద్ద జిల్లాల విభజన, కొత్త జిల్లాల ఏర్పాటు అనేది పాలనను వికేంద్రీకరణ చేయడానికి, పాలనను ప్రజల దగ్గరకు తీసుకెళ్లడానికి దోహద పడిందని, అదే ఈ రోజు అభివృద్ధి కి మూల కారణంగా మారిందన్నారు. కొత్త రెవెన్యూ డివిజన్లు, మండలాల ఏర్పాటు, తండాలను, గూడాలను గ్రామ పంచాయితీలుగా ఏర్పాటు చేయడం, కొత్త మున్సిపాలిటీలు, కార్పొరేషన్ల ఏర్పాటు, అనేది ప్రభుత్వ పాలనను ప్రజలకు మరింత దగ్గర చేసిందన్నారు.
తెలంగాణలో ఉన్నన్ని సంక్షేమ పథకాలు దేశంలో మరే రాష్ట్రాల్లో లేవని. ఎలాంటి అవినీతికి ఆస్కారం లేకుండా పెద్ద మొత్తంలో నేరుగా లబ్దిదారుల ఖాతాల్లో నిధుల జమ ప్రపంచంలో మరెక్కడా లేదని వివరించారు. రైతు బంధు, రైతు భీమా వంటి సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్విగ్నంగా కొనసాగుతున్నాయన్నారు. కాళేశ్వరం లాంటి ప్రాజెక్ట్ లు గ్రామీణ అబివృద్ధికి విరివిగా ఉపయోగపడుతున్నాయన్నారు.
విద్య, వైద్యం, గురుకులాలు, బస్తీ దావకాణాల ఏర్పాటు, రైతు రుణ మాఫీ వంటివి తెలంగాణ గ్రామీణ ముఖ చిత్రాన్ని మార్చేసి ఆర్ధికంగా అభివృద్ధి బాటలో పయనిస్తున్నాయని వివరించారు. ఏకీకృత తెలంగాణ పారిశ్రామిక విధానం పెట్టుబడుదారులను ఆకట్టుకుంది. తెలంగాణ ఐ – పాస్, పారిశ్రామిక అభివృద్ధి, ధరణి వంటి విప్లవాత్మక సంస్కరణలు తెలంగాణ ఆర్ధిక అభివృద్ధికి సహాయకారిగా నిలిచాయన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ప్రొ.కె.సీతారామ రావు మాట్లాడుతూ 9 సంవత్సరాలు క్రితమే ఏర్పడ్డ తెలంగాణ రాష్త్రం అభివృద్ధి విభాగంలో దేశంలో ముందు వరుసలో ఉందని, జాతీయ స్థాయిలో 90 శాతానికి పైగా అభివృద్ధి అవార్డులు తెలంగాణకే వస్తున్నాయన్నారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్య మంత్రి కేసీఆర్ దూరదృష్టి, వనరుల లభ్యతపై అవగాహన, ఆర్ధిక క్రమ శిక్షణ, పేదలకు సంక్షేమ పథకాలు అందించడం వంటివి తెలంగాణాను దేశంలో అగ్ర స్థానంలో నిలపాయన్నారు.
విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకాడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి క్కర్యక్రమ ఆవశ్యకతను వివరిస్తూ ముఖ్య అతిథిని సభకు పరిచయం చేశారు. ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ అభివృద్ధి అనేది నిరంతర ప్రక్రియ అని, పాలకులు సమాజాబివృద్ధికి పాటు పడ్డప్పుడే సమగ్ర అబివృద్ధి సాధ్యం అవుతుందన్నారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్, డా. ఎ.వి.ఎన్. రెడ్డి వందన సమర్పణ చేయగా అన్ని విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్స్, అధ్యాపక , అధ్యపకేతర సిబ్బంది, అన్ని ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల నాయకులు పాల్గొన్నారు. అంతకు ముందు ప్రొ.జయశంకర్ చిత్ర పటానికి పూలమాల వేసి నివాళి అర్పించారు.

Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Faculty Teachers Association have submitted a representation to Dr. Banda Prakash, Deputy chairman, Telangana State Legislative Council regarding redressal of their grievances release the PRC dues pending for a long time immediately and to increase the retirement age limit from 60 to 65 years of teachers working in universities in Telangana state. He came to the university to participate in a program at Ambedkar Open University on Friday.
The teachers met him on this occasion. Dr. Banda Prakash patiently listening the problems of the faculty members and responded positively to the problems. He stated that the government will soon take a key decision to solve the problems of the teachers working in all the universities of the state and these two problems will also be brought to the attention of the Education Minister and the Chief Minister. Prof. Gunti Ravi, Vice-President; Dr. Rabindranath Solomon, General Secretary; Members Prof. E. Sudha Rani, Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Prof. Shakila Khanam, Dr. Parankusam Venkata Ramana and Dr. Pallavi Kabde also participated.

హైదరాబాద్ : చాల కాలంగా పెండింగ్ లో ఉన్న పీఆర్సీ బకాయిలను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని, తెలంగాణా రాష్ట్రంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో పనిచేస్తున్న అధ్యాపకుల పదవీ విరమణ వయోపరిమితిని 60 సంవత్సరాల నుంచి 65 సంవత్సరాలకు పెంచాలని డా.బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఫ్యాకల్టి టీచర్స్ అసోసియేషన్ సభ్యులు తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర శాసన మండలి ఉపాధ్యక్షులు డా. బండ ప్రకాష్ కు వినతి పత్రాన్ని అందించారు. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో శుక్రవారం ఓ కార్యక్రమం లో పాల్గొనడానికి ఆయన విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి వచ్చారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా అధ్యాపకులు ఆయనను కలిశారు. అధ్యాపకుల సమస్యలను ఓపికగా విన్న శాసన మండలి ఉపాధ్యక్షులు డా. బండ ప్రకాష్ సమస్యల పట్ల సానుకూలంగా స్పందించారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో పనిచేస్తున్న అధ్యాపకుల సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించేలా ప్రభుత్వం త్వరలోనే కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకోనుందని, ఈ రెండు సమస్యలను కూడా విద్యా శాఖ మంత్రి, ముఖ్య మంత్రి దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్తానని పేర్కొన్నారు. కార్యక్రమంలో అసోసియేషన్ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు ప్రొ. గుంటి రవి, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి డా. రబీంద్రనాథ్ సోలమన్, సభ్యలు ప్రొ. సుధా రాణి, ప్రొ. పుష్పా చక్రపాణి, ప్రొ. షకీలా ఖానం, డా. పరాంకుశం వెంకట రమణ, డా. పల్లవి కబ్డే పాల్గొన్నారు.
