ఘనంగా అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ 42వ వ్యవస్థాపక దినోత్సవం
హైదరాబాద్ : మన దేశ విద్యార్ధులు పేరొందిన అంతర్జాతీయ సంస్థల్లో అభ్యసించిన వారితో పోటీ పడాలి అంటే ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా పేరు పొందిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలతో అవగాహన ఒప్పందాలు చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందిని సింబయాసిస్ అంతర్జాతీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రొ. ఛాన్సలర్, ప్రిన్సిపల్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ (డా). విద్యా యెరవ్‌దేకర్ అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ 42వ వ్యవస్థాపక దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకొని నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రొ. విద్య ముఖ్య అతిథిగా పాల్గొని “అంతర్జాతీయీకరణ ఉన్నత విద్య–అంశాలు, సవాళ్లు” అనే అంశం పై ప్రసంగించారు.
ప్రొ. యెరవ్‌దేకర్ మాట్లాడుతూ 2023 భారతదేశానికి 73 సంవత్సరాల రాజ్యాంగ ప్రజాస్వామ్యం, 32 సంవత్సరాల ఆర్థిక సరళీకరణ మరియు భారత విద్యా వ్యవస్థలో తెచ్చిన కీలకమైన సంస్కరణలను ప్రస్తావించారు. భారతదేశం బలమైన మరియు సంపన్నమైన ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థగా మాత్రమే కాకుండా, ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా విద్యాపరమైన నైపుణ్యానికి గుర్తింపు తెచ్చేలా పురోగతిలో పయనిస్తోందని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం 2020 రానున్న రోజుల్లో భారతీయ ఉన్నత విద్యా ముఖ చిత్రాన్ని మార్చనుందని, ఇది భారత దేశ విద్యార్ధులకు అంతర్జాతీయ అవకాశాలను మెరుగు పర్చనుందని, 21వ శతాబ్దపు విజన్ డాక్యుమెంట్‌గా పరిగణించబడుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
హోలిస్టిక్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్, పరిశోధన, ఇన్నోవేషన్, ఎంటర్‌ప్రెన్యూర్‌షిప్, గవర్నెన్స్ బిల్డింగ్, నాణ్యతా ప్రమాణాలు, అక్రిడిటేషన్ ర్యాంకింగ్, ఆన్‌లైన్ విద్య, సమానమైన సమగ్ర విద్యా వ్యాప్తి అందరికీ అందుబాటులోకి తేనుందని ఇది అంతర్జాతీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకు వెళ్ళాలి అనుకునే వారికి ఒక గొప్ప అవకాశంగా పేర్కొన్నారు. మన దేశంలోని విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా శాస్త్ర సాంకేతిక రంగాల్లో వస్తున్న మార్పులను ఎప్పటికప్పుడు అధ్యయనం చేయాలన్నారు. అంతర్జాతీయ విద్యా సంస్థలతో అవగాహన ఒప్పందాలు చేసుకోవాలని తద్వారా అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో విద్యను మన విద్యార్ధులకు అందించడమే కాకుండా నిధుల సమీకరణకు కూడా అవకాశం ఏర్పడుతుందని తెలిపారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ప్రొ. కే. సీతారామ రావు మాట్లాడుతూ డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం గత నాలుగు దశాబ్దాలలో సాధించిన విజయాలను గర్వంగా చెప్పకుంటూనే, సమాజానికి మరింత సహాయకారిగా నిలిచేలా తమ బాధ్యతను మరింత పెంచిందన్నారు. విద్యార్ధి సేవల బలోపేతానికి కృషి చేస్తున్నామని, దూరవిధ్యలో అభ్యసించిన విద్యార్ధులకు అన్ని అవకాశాలను అందుబాటులో ఉండేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టినట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకాడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి కార్యక్రమం ఆవశ్యకతను, ముఖ్య అతిథిని పరిచయం చేశారు. రిజిస్ట్రార్‌ డా. ఎ.వి.ఎన్‌.రెడ్డి ప్రసంగించగా కార్యక్రమంలో అన్ని విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్స్, అన్ని ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల నాయకులు, అధ్యాపక, అధ్యపకేతర సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.
అంతకముందు డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ 42వ వ్యవస్థాపక దినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా నిర్వహించిన వ్యాస రచన పోటీలలో విద్యార్థులు రాసిన వ్యాసాల పుస్తకాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించారు. పోటీలో విజేతలుగా నిలిచిన రెండు తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాలలోని విద్యార్థులకు బహుమతుల ప్రధానం, ప్రశంస పత్రాలను అందజేశారు.

BRAOU Celebrated Foundation Day Lecture
Hyderabad: Prof.(Dr.) Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, Principal Director, Symbiosis, Pune, Maharashtrawas the chief guest & keynote Speaker at the 42nd Foundation Day Lecture at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad. Prof.(Dr.) Vidya Yeravdekar, delivered a Lecture on “Internationalisation of Higher Education- Issues and Challenges”.
She said 2023 for India represents 73 years of constitutional democracy, 32 years of economic liberalisation, and concentrated reforms in our educational system. Each one of these achievements is significant as India moves toward becoming not only a strong and prosperous economy, but also a nation known for its academic excellence globally. The recent National Education Policy of 2020 however, has taken the need to offer a globally strong and relevant Indian Higher education ecosystem, to new heights.
The National Education Policy-2020, let me step back and talk a bit about the reforms of 1991 which paved the way for this new policy to be imagined and more specifically paved the way for Internationalisation of Higher Education. Widely regarded as an all-encompassing and innovative vision document for 21st-century India and its educational ecosystem, NEP 2020 addresses pivotal dimensions of education, ranging from Multidisciplinary and Holistic Education, Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, to Governance and Teacher Capacity Building, Quality, Ranking, and Accreditation, Digital Empowerment and Online Education, Equitable and Inclusive Education, Promotion of Indian Languages.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program. Prof.Rao said the Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University completed 4 decades of services to cause of Distance Education in this movement of retrospection, it would be not out of place to recall with pride some of the achievement of the university during its educational annals of the both States. It has been revealed that efforts are being made to strengthen student services and steps have been taken to ensure that all opportunities are available to students who have studied through distance education.
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Director (Academic), Dr. BRAOU was welcomed and introduced about the program and Chief Guest. Dr.A.V.R.N.Reddy, Registrar also spoke on the occasion. All the Directors, Heads of the Branches, Deans, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members and representatives of various service associations also participated in the program.
Earlier, the book of essays written by the students in the Essay Competition organized on the occasion of the 42nd Foundation Day of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University was unveiled. The Prize distributed to the student winners in easy writing competition with certificates of appreciation.
