The New Education Policy- 2020 will bring about major changes in the country : Prof. Santosh Panda, Director, STRIDE, IGNOU
Hyderabad: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Centre for Internal Quality Assurance (CIQA), organized three days workshop on “Outcome Based Education (OBE)” on January 22-24, 2024 at University Campus, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU , attended as chief guest for the program. Prof. Rao said that while open universities adhere to the demand for quality curriculum, it is necessary to provide and expand quality education through Open Distance Learning (ODL). According to the New Education Policy- 2020, the goal of providing higher education to the rural students with more flexibility is going forward as part of that, it was revealed that this three-day workshop is being held.
Prof. Santosh Panda, Director, Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE), IGNOU and keynote speaker of the program delivered a lecture on “NC, F 2023 and New Education Policy – Based Planning for ODL” while speaking through online.
He said that the new National Syllabus- 2020 will bring about major changes in the country and the student has the option to study the subjects of his choice in the university, that these changes should also be observed and studied by the teachers and that lessons should be made in such a way, the design of professional education training courses where the student can master, and the design of credit based courses are very necessary. Prof.I.Anand Pawar, Director CSTD and Prof. P. Madhusudhana Reddy, Former Director CIQA also spoke on the occasion.
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Director Academic, BRAOU presided over the program. Prof. Chakrapani said that the teachers need to learn new study methods from time to time and in the context of modern knowledge available, the teachers have the responsibility to teach the students so that they can easily understand every subject.
Prof. A. V. N. Reddy, Registrar of the university attended as guest of honour and explained that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, which is known as the first university in the country, welcomes modern aspects and new teaching technological methods and is organizing this three day program as a part of it.
Dr.K. Sridevi, Director I/c, CIQA initiated about the workshop and explain the aims, objectives of this workshop. All Directors, Deans, Heads of the Branches, Teaching staff were participated in the program.

“ఔట్ కం బేస్డ్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్”పై మూడు రోజుల సదస్సు
హైదరాబాద్: డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం, సెంటర్ ఫర్ ఇంటర్నల్ క్వాలిటీ అస్యూరెన్స్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో “ఔట్ కం బేస్డ్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్” (ఫలితాల ఆధారంగా విద్య) అనే అంశంపై మూడు రోజుల సెమినార్‌ను నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ప్రొ. కే. సీతారామ రావు ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరై ప్రసంగించారు.
ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయలు నాణ్యమైన పాఠ్యాంశాల డిమాండ్ కు కట్టుబడి ఉంటూనే, ఓపెన్ డిస్టెన్స్ లెర్నింగ్ (ఒ.డి.యల్.) ద్వారా నాణ్యమైన విద్యను అందించడం, మరింత విస్తరించడం అవసరమని అభిప్రాయబడ్డారు. నూతన జాతీయ విధ్యా విధానం- 2020 ప్రకారం ఉన్నత విద్య మరింత వెసులుబాటుతో గ్రామీణ విధ్యర్ధులకు అందించాలనే లక్ష్యంతో ముందుకు వెళ్తున్నట్లు అందులో భాగంగానే ఈ మూడు రోజుల వర్క్ షాప్ ను నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ అధ్యాపకులు నూతన అధ్యయన పద్ధతులు ఎప్పటికప్పుడు నేర్చుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని, ఆధునిక పరిజ్ఞానం అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చిన నేపధ్యంలో విద్యార్ధికి అవసరమైన ప్రతీ అంశం సులభంగా అతనికి అర్ధం అయ్యేలా చెప్పాల్సిన భాద్యత ఆ దిశగా అధ్యయనం చేయాల్సిన అవసరం టీచర్స్ కి ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో గౌరవ అతిథిగా పాల్గొన్న విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్ ప్రొ. ప్రొ. ఏ.వి.ఎన్. రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ దేశంలోనే మొట్టమొదటి విశ్వవిద్యాలయం గా పేరుగాంచిన అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ ఆధునిక అంశాలను, కొత్త బోధనా పద్ధతులను స్వాగతిస్తుందని అందులో భాగంగానే ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు .
అనంతరం ఇందిరాగాంధీ జాతీయ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ, స్టాఫ్ ట్రైనింగ్ అండ్ రీసెర్చ్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ డిస్టెన్స్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్, డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. సంతోష్ పాండా ఆన్ లైన్ ద్వార మాట్లాడుతూ “NC, F 2023 మరియు నూతన విద్య విధానం – ఒ.డి.యల్ కోసం ఆధారిత ప్రణాళిక రూపకల్పన” అనే అంశంపై కీలకోపన్యాసం చేశారు. ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ నూతన జాతీయ విధ్యా విధానం- 2020 దేశంలో పెను మార్పులకు దోహద పడనుందని, విద్యార్ధికి తన విద్యావిధానంలో తనకు నచ్చిన అంశాలను నచ్చిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో అభ్యసించే వెసులు బాటు ఉందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ మార్పులను అధ్యాపకులు కూడా గమనించి అధ్యయనం చేయాలని ఆ విధంగా పాటాలను తయారు చేయాలని, విద్యార్ధి నైపుణ్యం సాధించే వృత్తి విద్యా శిక్షణా కోర్సుల రూపకల్పాన్, క్రెడిట్ బేస్డ్ కోర్సుల రూపకల్పన చాల అవసరం అని పేర్కొన్నారు. కార్యక్రమంలో సి.ఎస్‌.టి.డి డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. ఐ. ఆనంద్ పవార్, సికా మాజీ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. పి. మధుసూధనరెడ్డి తదితరులు మాట్లాడారు.
సెంటర్ ఫర్ ఇంటర్నల్ క్వాలిటీ అస్యూరెన్స్ ఇన్ ఛార్జ్ డైరెక్టర్ డా. కె. శ్రీదేవి మూడు రోజుల వర్క్ షాప్ లక్ష్యాలను వివరించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో అన్ని విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్స్, అన్ని విభాగాల శాకాదిపతులు, అధ్యాపక సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.
