అంబేద్కర్ వర్సిటీలో “స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో గుర్తింపునకు నోచుకోని యోధులను అన్వేషించడం –సమకాలీన ఔచిత్యం” అనే అంశంపై రెండు రోజుల జాతీయ సదస్సు ప్రారంభం
హైదరాబాద్ : డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్శిటీ, ప్రొ. జి రామ్ రెడ్డి సెంటర్ ఫర్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్ మరియు ఇండియన్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ సోషల్ సైన్స్ రీసెర్చ్ సంయుక్తంగా “స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో గుర్తింపునకు నోచుకోని యోధులను అన్వేషించడం –సమకాలీన ఔచిత్యం” అనే అంశంపై రెండు రోజుల జాతీయా సదస్సు బుధవారం ప్రారంభం అయింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి తెలంగాణ శాసన మండలి సభ్యురాలు శ్రీమతి సురభి వాణీదేవి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరయ్యారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆమే మాట్లాడుతూ విశ్వ విద్యాలయాల్లో జరిగే పరిశోధనలు సమాజానికి ఉపయోగపడేలా ముఖ్యంగా స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో పాల్గొన్న యోధులైన మహిళల పోరాటపటిమను వెలికితీయాలని, ఆనాటి నారీ శక్తి భావితరాలకు ప్రేరణగా నిలిచేలా పరిశోధనలు ఉండాలని ఆకాంక్షించారు. స్వాతంత్రోద్యమ పోరాటంలో పాల్గొన్న పోరాట యోధులను పిలిపించి విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో మాట్లాడించాలని, వాళ్ళను ఘనంగా సన్మానించాలని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇలాంటివి యువతకు గొప్ప అనుభూతిని కలిగిస్తాయని తెలిపారు. చరిత్ర లో నిలవని గొప్ప స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాట యోధుల్లో స్వామి రామానంద తీర్థ ఒకరని ఆమె వివరించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో గౌరవ అతిథితులుగా పాల్గొన్న తెలంగాణ గ్రంథాలయ పరిషత్ చైర్మన్ డా. అయాచితం శ్రీధర్ మాట్లాడుతూ భారతీయ స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాట గాధలను విదేశీయులు రాస్తే తెలియని పరిస్థితి ఉందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్త పర్చారు. మనకు తెలియని చరిత్ర చాల ఉందని పరిశోధకులు వెలికి తీయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని వాటిని పుస్తకాల్లో నివృత్తి చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ప్రధాన వక్తగా పాల్గొన్న ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రాజనీతి శాస్త్ర విభాగం విశ్రాంత అధ్యాపకురాలు, ప్రఖ్యాత రచయిత రమా మెల్కోటే మాట్లాడుతూ చాలా మంది భారతీయ స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాట యోధుల గురించి వింటుంటామని అయితే పుస్తకాల్లో అది కనిపించదని ఆవేదన వ్యక్త పర్చారు. రాజ్యాంగాన్ని రచించిన డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ గురించి కూడా 1980 వ దశకం వరకు పెద్దగా ప్రచారం లేదని, దళిత సంఘాల పోరాట పటిమతో ఆయన గొప్ప ఆలోచనా విధానం దేశ ప్రజలకు విరివిగా తెలిసిందని వివరించారు. తెలుగు మహిళా వీర నారులు చాకలి ఐలమ్మ, మల్లు స్వరాజ్యం లాంటి వాళ్లకు రావాల్సినంత గుర్తింపు రాలేదని చరిత్రకారులు, రచయితలు వాళ్ళ పోరాటపటిమపై దృష్టి సారించాలన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ఆచార్య. కె. సీతారామారావు మాట్లాడుతూ భారత దేశ చరిత్ర, సంస్కృతిని, పోరాట యోధుల యుద్ధ గాధలు వెలికి తీసేలా విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో పరిశోధనలు కొనసాగాలని ఆకాంక్షించారు. సమాజంలో నెలకొన్న సామాజిక రుగ్మతలను పారద్రోలేలా, మూడనమ్మకాలను దూరం చేసేలా, ప్రజలను చైతన్య పరచేలా చరిత్రకారులు పరిశోదనలు కొనసాగించాలి అన్నారు.
ప్రొ. జి. రామ్ రెడ్డి సెంటర్ ఫర్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్, డైరెక్టర్ ప్రో. సుధారాణి మాట్లాడుతూ సదస్సు నిర్వహణ అవసరం, ఆవశ్యకతను వివరించారు. రెండు రోజుల పాటు జరిగే ఈ సదస్సులో అనేక మంది సామాజిక శాస్త్రాల అధ్యాపకులు పాల్గొని పరిశోధక విద్యార్ధులకు మార్గ నిర్దేశనం చేయనున్నట్లుగా ఆమె వెల్లడించారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్, డా. ఎ.వి.ఆర్.ఎన్ రెడ్డి ప్రసంగించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో పలు విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్లు, అధ్యాపక, అధ్యపకేతర సిబ్బంది, పలు ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు, పరిశోధక విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన సెషన్స్ లో హైదరాబాద్ కేంద్రీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ హిస్టరీ విభాగ అధిపతి ప్రొ. భాంగ్య భూక్య, డెక్కన్ హెరిటేజ్ హైదరాబాద్ చైర్మన్ వేదకుమార్ మానికొండ, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర అర్కీవ్స్ పరిశోధనా సంస్థ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. జరీనా పర్వీన్, తెలంగాణ చారిత్రక విభాగ కౌన్సిల్ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి డా. టి. వివేక్ తదితరులు పలు చారిత్రక అంశాలపై తమ తమ అభిప్రాయాలను, స్వాతంత్ర్య పోరాటంలో పాల్గొన్న, చరిత్రలో రాయని అనేక మంది పోరాట పటిమను, వాళ్ళ త్యాగాలను సదస్సు దృష్టికి తెచ్చారు. ఈ సెషన్స్ కి చైర్ పర్సన్స్ గా ప్రొ. వడ్డాణం శ్రీనివాస్, ప్రొ. ఏ.ఆర్.డి. ప్రసాద్ వ్యవహరించారు.
అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాల్లో భారత దేశ యుద్ధ వీర మణుల జీవిత గాధలను కళారూపాలుగా ప్రదర్శించారు. ఇందులో కూచిపూడి నృత్య రూపకం (రాణి వేలు నచియార్) అలేఖ్య పంజాల, మోహిణీ నాట్యం (రాణి చెన్నమ్మ) ఐశ్వర్య వారియర్, ఒడిస్సీ నృత్యం (రాణి అవంతి భాయి) జ్యోతి శ్రీవాత్సవ, కథక్ నృత్యం (బేగం హజ్రత్ మహల్) అలకానంద దాస్ గుప్తా, భరతనాట్యం (రాణి లక్ష్మీభాయి) పద్మశ్రీ ప్రతిభా ప్రహ్లాద్, సత్ర్రియ (కనకలతా బరుహా) శరోడిసైకియా, సమకాలీన నృత్య రూపకం (కెప్టెన్ లక్ష్మీ సెహగల్) చందనా అగర్వాల్ తదితరులు ఆయా పాత్రలను పోషించి సభికులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకున్నారు.

WOMEN FIGHTERS WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE, RESEARCH SHOULD BE AN INSPIRATION TO THE FUTURE GENERATIONS: MLC Surabhi Vanidevi
Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Prof.G.Ram Reddy Centre for Research and Development (GRCR&D) in collaborations with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR-SRC) Hyderabad organized a two day national seminar on “Exploring the Contributions of the Unsung Warriors in Freedom Struggle – Contemporary Relevance” on August 23, 2023 at the University Campus.
Smt. Surabhi Vani Devi, MLC, attended as chief guest for the program, she said that the research conducted in the universities should be useful to the society, especially to bring out the struggles of the women fighters who participated in the freedom struggle, and hoped that the research should be an inspiration to the future generations of the female power of those days. The fighters who participated in the freedom struggle should be invited and speak in the universities and they should be honored, She also said that such things give the youth a great feeling. She explained that Swami Ramananda Theertha is one of the greatest freedom fighters in history.
Prof.Rama Melkote, Former Hear, Department of Political Science, Osmania University, Educator and renowned writer, Keynote speaker of the program said that many people hear about Indian freedom fighters but do not find them in books. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the author of the Constitution, was not widely publicized until the 1980s, and his great way of thinking was widely known to the people of the country with the struggle of the Dalit communities. Telugu female heroes like Chakali Ailamma and Mallu Swarajyam have not received enough recognition, historians and writers want to focus on their struggles.
The Guests of Honour Dr. Ayachitam Sreedhar, Chairman, Telangana Grandhalaya Parishad said that if foreigners wrote the stories of Indian freedom struggle, the situation would be unknown. He said that there is a lot of history that we don’t know and researchers need to uncover it and save it in books.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program. Prof. Rao wished to continue research in universities to uncover the history, culture and war stories of the fighters. Historians should continue research to eradicate the social ills in the society, remove superstitions and make people aware.
Dr. A.V.R.N Reddy, Registrar also spoke on the occasion. Prof.E.Sudha Rani, Seminar Director, explain the aims, objectives of the program. She explained the need and necessity of organizing this workshop. It has been revealed that many social science teachers will participate in this two days seminar and guide the research students. All Directors, Deans, Heads of the Branches, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff, Representatives of services associations, Research Scholars & Students are participated in the proram.
In the sessions held afterwards, Prof. Bhangya Bhukya, Head of Department of History, Central University of Hyderabad, Vedakumar Manikonda, Chairman of Deccan Heritage Hyderabad, Prof. Zareena Parveen, Director of Telangana State Archives Research Institute, Dr. T. Vivek, General Secretary of Telangana Historical Department Council, other expressed their views on various historical issues and the freedom struggle. The struggle and sacrifices of many people who have not been written in history have been brought to the attention of the conference. Prof. Vaddanam Srinivas and Prof. A. R. D. Prasad acted as chairpersons for these sessions.
In the cultural programs the life stories of India’s war heroes Manu were presented as art forms. It includes Kuchipudi dance form (Rani Velu Nachiyar) by Alekhya Panjala; Mohini dance (Rani Chennamma) by Aishwarya Wariar; Odissi dance (Rani Avanti Bhai) by Jyoti Srivatsava; Kathak dance (Begum Hazrat Mahal) by Alakananda Das Gupta; Bharatanatyam (Rani Lakshmibhai) by Padma Shri Pratibha Prahlad; Satrriya (Kanakalata Baruha) Sharodisaikiya; contemporary choreographer (Captain Lakshmi Sehgal) Chandana Aggarwal and others impressed the audience by playing their respective roles.
